Researches on sport experience found, based on the long term training, athletes were not only good at the sport events,but also good at processing the general information,,mainly in the attention and cognitive process. In the past, differences between the material types of athletes and ordinary people were not studied. In order to investigate differences of representation, this study adopts the priming paradigm, select the graphics and text as two experimental materials, combined with the technology of event related potentials. This study includes two experiments, the experiment was 2(priming material type: graphic, text) * 2(priming relationship: positive, neutral,negative priming relationship) * 2(sport experience: college student, table tennis athlete) three factors mixed experimental design. Tasks of two experiments are judging graph text.Dependent variables include reaction time and ERP wave, N1,N2,and P3.Analysis of variance will be used to analysis the data.The results of first experiment:the reaction time of positive priming relationship between was significantly less than the neutral priming relationship.Table tennis players’ reaction time was significantly less than ordinary college students.The ERP data results: N1 in O1, O2, the amplitude of positive relationship was significantly higher than that of neutral relationship. N2 in Cz, Fz,the amplitude of table tennis athletes was significantly higher than that of ordinary college students.The results of second experiment: Reaction time of positive priming was less than that of neutral relationship. Reaction time of neutral relationship was significantly less than that of negative priming. Table tennis player’s reaction time was significantly shorter than ordinary college students.the two ERP data results : N1 in O1, the amplitude of table tennis tennis players is significantly greater than ordinary college students.N2 in Fz, the latency of the table tennis players is significantly shorter than ordinary college students. P3 in C3, C4, Cz,the amplitude of the table tennis athletes was significantly higher than that of ordinary college students. P3 in C4,the latency of the negative priming was significantly longer than the positive relationship.Data of two experiments are compared. Results: in the negative priming condition, graphic target are significantly less than text target. the ERP data results :P3 in C3, difference of amplitude of graphics target was significantly smaller than text target.Conclusions: 1. In graphics and text tasks, positive priming effect are significant,but negative priming effect is not significant In graphics and tasks. Because the human brain is preferred to graphics encode, perception is not easily affected by the inhibitory information. 2. Athletes are better at graphics encode, so the reaction time of table tennis athletes is shorter than ordinary college students.
