Students’ ability in physics problem solving is one of important abilities of the foundation education. This article attempts from the micro perspective, to analysis the error of representation in the problem solving by combination of qualitative and quantitative way, and put forward some thoughts on cultivating students’ability to solve problems and suggestion.Research one got the basic situation of physic problem solving through the questionnaire survey, which for physical problem solving habits of junior middle school students. The results showed:(1) As a whole students interested in physics generally or no interest, the girl is more serious; (2) The problem representation is shallow and not deep. About 31% of students often failed because of the wrong topic or condition in problem solving (3) Mathematical foundation is weak. About 39.7% of students calculated wrongly but knew the relevant concept.Research Two analyzed errors of physics problem solving representation in two year period of students. The results showed:(1) the simple representation error rate of poor students were higher than the optimal, disadvantaged students’. they tended to use the life experience solve problems; (2) the physics, mathematics representation error rate of the medium students were insignificantly higher than that of good one, middling to subjective understanding dominant to physical concepts; (3) the eugenics in text representation level error rates were significantly lower than the difference. They had stronger adaptability and understanding in styles of information;(4) good students were most easy to make mistakes and eugenics in mathematical representationResearch three finally dig The thinking process of students behind the wrong topic and knew teachers how to solve the situation in dealing with students’mistakes. First, from the students’ thinking process showed:(1) the good students were better than bad one in the physics knowledge, problem-solving strategies, reflection, thinking quality, bad students were not good at self summary and learning motivation is low; (2) medium did well than them in characterization of text representation; (3) the difference representation level is very low, particularly in the title of difficulty and the low level of text representation, while medium in physical characterization of link mainly had obstacles.Secondly, from the thinking of student’s interview acted:(1) the external factors such as style of topics, the topic of the accuracy of the information, the complexity of the image effected representation; (2) the students’physical knowledge comprehensive influenced physical characterization of the quality of problem solving; (3) the students’ self-efficacy affected the validity of the problem solving.Finally, from the thinking of teacher’s interview showed:(1) the wrong topic is a channel for teachers to understand students mastering physics learning;(2)providing suitable materials, rich life and animation video is conductive to students before the concept of correction; (3)the reasonable teaching evaluation is helpful to promote the integrity between the teachers and students.
