In the domestic and international primary and secondary education, design education in a subordinate position in the fine arts education, its significance and the value of long-term not be valued. Along with the curriculum reform and the renewal of educational idea design education situation improve.The art education in the stage of compulsory education in China are not compatible with the requirements of quality education in the new place, the full-time compulsory education art course standard will be fine arts discipline is divided into four areas of learning according to the art way of learning activities, including "learning design-Application" field setting is the need of the development of the times, but also the basic education in the reform of the new education concepts require new reform of art education under the results. Decorative art design is a "design, application of" learning field of a component, however, despite the "decoration" one word is widely used, but on the curriculum research on decorative design teaching activities of junior high school students is unmannedand.In this paper, the main content is divided into five parts. The first part of the research background and topic of this thesis the reason and significance are briefly discussed. The second part, through the background investigation, contrast analysis, the methods ofinvestigation and interview demonstrated and role of design education in middle school stagecurriculum value, and puts forward to design education and general art education of school belonging of art education is "harmony but not Sameness" point of view. On this basis, this article also combined with the analysis of problems at home and abroad schools "design and technology" curriculum differences and the current concept of art curriculum reform, we should strengthen the design education in middle school art education, develop students’ creativity. The third part,mainly discusses the concept of "decoration" the content of the value orientation of junior high school students, and the necessity and particularity of opendecoration course, laying the groundwork for the topic of the thesis. The fourth part, the classroom interior design activity as an example, expounds the art teachers through the creation of exploring learning space to develop the research and practice of creativity of junior high school students, discusses the creation of form design exploration of teaching learning spaces contribute to creative thinking habits, attitudes, and urge students to enhance creativity. The fifth part, the author from the angle of feasibility of curriculum construction andteaching implementation has made the summary and outlook.
