The Research Towards The Construction Of Educational Teachers’ Professional Development Community

With the reform of teacher education and curriculum reform inthe basic education， the importance of teachers’ professionaldevelopment community has become increasingly prominent.“Educational Teachers’ Professional Development Community” iscomposed of educational teachers who have different disciplinebackgrounds in the same university, they set the goal of offering theservice for the basic education, made the common vision ofimproving the quality of school education and put out the guidanceto enhance the professionalism of individual teachers. And theycooperated with each other through dialogue, discussion and studyin the context of community to establish a finally stable teachers’group. The workshop of Ping Shui Chuan Xi is a developing teacherprofessional development community that existed, has highlightedthe importance of enhancing the professionalism of teachers. Thisstudy sorted the relevant theoretical basis of teacher professionaldevelopment community on this basis, summarized basiccharacteristics of teachers’ professional development community,and selected the workshop of Ping Shui Chuan Xi as a case study,summarized the experience of the development towards theworkshop, analyzed the background of the construction, member management and result effects about teachers’ professionaldevelopment community, and then made operational assessment ofthe workshop. Based on the in-depth study of the realities towardsthe development of the workshop, this paper summarized the mainproblems that existing in the process of the operation and put upwith some effective advice and references to improve the operationof workshop.This paper mainly adopted the literature, survey and qualitativeresearch methods. The first chapter expounded the reason, purpose,meaning, content as well as methods and sorted out the analysisand summarizes of the existing domestic and foreign-relatedreferences. The second chapter reviewed the theoretical basis asthe learning organization of the teachers’ professional developmentcommunity to strengthen the basis of this study. The third chapteranalyzed the background, action strategy, the basic elements andmain practices of the workshop. The fourth chapter made anassessment of the current situation about the workshop, and putout a detailed analysis of the exploration results and problemsduring the process of running the workshop, then proposes specificrecommendations to make the workshop more conducive toteachers’ professional development.
