The young and middle-aged senior-professional teachers (SPT) are the backbone for the primary schools’ development. However, those teachers at a primary school located in the rural-urban frine zone of Nanjing, have very poor consciousnesses of competition, development and crisis. This is named as senior-professional teachers’ occupational burnout (STOB) phenomenon in this study.The research theme and the corresponding methods of this paper are based on the large quantity of document retrieval. By utilizing some effective methods such as questionnaire survey, social interview, spot investigation, and comparison study, the existing circumstances of the teachers with senior professional title (SPT) in the "A" school are analyzed. The reasons of the occupational burnout of the SPT such as the high-level professional pressure, the weak go-aheadism, the slow career growth rate, are basically summarized. A multi-valued evaluation system, including the principle, the methods and the specifications, is established for classifying the SPT. The career path, which is comprised by the elements such as the professional leading, the reflecting on action, the peer coaching, and the subject research, is then designed for the SPT for further progress too. Besides, some strategies and suggestions for promoting the growing of the SPT are also presented. For example, the development platforms are built up by using the promotion strength of the local education. The internal motivation is inspired by the reforms of the teacher merit pay and the professional title. The career growth is expedited by the research work provided in the school. The physical and mental health is cared by creating the positive energetic culture atmosphere. To sum up, the study of the SPT group can provide many practicable advices that can promote the construction of the qualified teaching staff.
