With the implementation of The New English Curriculum Standard for Full-time Senior High School (2013) and the reformation of College Entrance Examination, the use of English has been put in a prominent position. English teachers are required to pay more attention to students’competence in using language. Under this background, based on the literature review of Chinese-foreign teachers’ cooperative teaching and the survey and analysis of the problems in current English teaching in senior high school, this paper aims to design some feasible teaching plans by applying the theories of some of the cooperative teaching modes, such as "parallel teaching". "one teach, one assist" and "station teaching". To meet the requirements of both new curriculum and College Entrance Examination, this paper will try to analyze and design every detailed teaching procedures which the teachers can follow in their cooperative teaching with the purpose of improving the students’comprehensive competence in using language.This paper consists of five parts. Part One is about the introduction. It mainly introduces the background, significance and the methods of this study. Part Two is literature review. Based on the brief analysis of the study on Chinese-foreign teachers’ cooperative teaching both at home and abroad, the paper puts forward that to a certain degree cooperative teaching can well solve some common problems in the current English teaching. Part Three is the survey based on a questionnaire, to investigate the real situation of senior high schools’English teaching. Part Four is about the cooperative teaching modes in senior high school and the corresponding teaching plan design. Part Five is about the conclusion of this paper. |
