“Ordinary High School Physics Curriculum Standards(Experiment)" points out the need to pay attention to the cultivation of the students’ scientific literacy and elaborates the ability students should obtain in the experiment and inquiry from the aspect of such seven elements as question-raising, conjecture and hypothesis,indicating that inquiry experiment plays an important role in physics teaching. Since the implementation of the new curriculum standards, great change has taken place in high school physics experimental exploration teaching.We have made some achievements in this respect, but there are still some problems. In this paper, the author will take his own school as the example to do the investigation and make analysis on the achievements and specific problems of high school physics experimental exploration teaching and try to put forward some suggestions and strategies contributing to teaching.Researching design is as follows: Firstly, the author comb related theory and analyzed the enlightenment and guidance to the high school physics experimental exploration teaching by "cognitive- discovery learning" and "constructivism learning” theories through the study of these two theories; Secondly, based on the related teaching theory and new curriculum standards, coupled with suggestions from first-line physics teachers, a teacher questionnaire and a student questionnaire will be designed to investigate the present status of the implementation of physics experimental exploration teaching in high school using the method of questionnaire;Thirdly, using the SPSS data analysis software to analyze data and draw conclusions;Finally, this paper puts forward some improvement strategies according to the status of implementation deficiencies exist.Results show that the implementation of the current high school Physics inquiry experiment teaching has made certain achievements-- the students’ inquiry ability has improved and the concept of teaching has gradually shifted. However, there are still some problems existing, for example, insufficient understanding of experimental exploration teaching by teachers and students, students’ lacking interest andmotivation, monotonous teaching methods, lacking of communication between teachers and students, less-than-ideal school teaching environment teaching s’ inadequate theoretical knowledge, insufficient training opportunity, and the shortage of resources in carrying out experiments.So this paper puts forward the following strategies: first, for teachers, they should enhance their teaching concept and understanding of the students, improve proficiency of teaching skills and theories, emphasize teaching of basic theories and knowledge structure, pay attention to cultivate the students’ interest in experiment and basic methods, stress student’s growth and teach students in accordance of their aptitude. Second, for schools, they need to improve the laboratory construction,expand investment of equipment and purchase new experimental equipment.Experimental exploration teaching will be incorporated into the evaluation mechanism for Physics teachers. Besides, schools should create learning and training opportunities for Physics teachers, hold experimental exploration teaching competitions and make relevant teaching seminars normalized.
