With the development of economic society and improvement of science and technology, the study on English learning resources based on network has become a hot topic among many English educators. On the one hand, the development of students’ listening skills is influenced by many factors, especially the language environment. In China, due to the lack of English language environment, the improvement of junior high school students’ listening skills is greatly limited. On the other hand, English-learning website resources can make up for the limitations of teaching resources in the textbook, and they can provide sufficient language input for the development of students’ listening skills. They are also conducive to develop students’ autonomous learning awareness. On this basis, taking English listening class as the breakthrough point, the author tries to study the function of English-learning website resources in English listening class.This thesis explained the importance of English listening and relevant studies on listening teaching. And the thesis introduced English-learning websites in detail both at home and in foreign countries, as well as the current situation of applying English-learning website resources to listening class. The thesis had also introduced listening materials from Kekenet English website and Bigear English website to listening class in junior high school. The author wanted to validate the function of website resources based on the feedback from students’ listening scores. Besides, the thesis had described the theoretical basis of the application of English-learning website resources to listening class in junior high school.Subjects of the research are teachers and students from Mingshan School in Handan city. Research methods in this thesis include questionnaires, interview and experiment. The thesis tries to identify teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards English-learning website resources. The thesis is also to verify the function of English-learning website resources in English listening class. The result of teachers’ questionnaire shows that English teachers have not paid enough attention to network resources, especially English-learning website resources, and they doubt the function of English-learning website resources. But from students’ questionnaire, even though students have less knowledge on website resources, they still want to make full use of English-learning website resources to facilitate listening learning. The result of the interview shows that teachers have many difficulties in the process of using English-learning website resources. They hope to have better understanding of English-learning website resources. At the same time, the author has conducted an experiment to verify the effect of website resources in listening teaching. The result of the experiment shows that the application of English-learning website resources in listening class can improve students’ listening level.
