Mathematical methodology (MM) education pattern is a teaching method using mathematical methodology to guide teaching, namely, applying the development of mathematics principles, mathematical way of thinking, mathematical discovery, invention and innovation of mechanism design and reform of mathematics teaching to mathematical teaching. It has been 20 years since 1989, and it has been developing. The core content of the MM education pattern is the mathematical thought method, making students have a reasonable knowledge structure, having profound, critical, flexible and creative thinking, making students actively find problems and puts forward problems and solve the problem, and have the lines, one instance of knowledge, and improve the students’innovation ability, this is the education’s purpose of the MM education. But, now, MM education pattern are only applied to classroom teaching of the new teaching, therefore, how to apply the MM education pattern to recitation teaching is a topic worth studying.Recitation teaching is an important part of the middle school mathematics classroom teaching, and it’s an important way to promote students to ask questions, analyze problems, and solve the problems. Meantime, recitation is an important method to check students’mathematics learning level, and mathematical thinking ability. But these are issues worthy of attention:what is the recitation teaching design way and method? What should be paid attention during teaching design?In this paper, firstly, the author introduce related research about the MM education pattern, recitation teaching design and the basic elementary function (1) at home and abroad. Then, the author took two classes of high school students as the research object, and carried on the education pattern based on MM recitation teaching design and implementation, according to the research, author found that the method based on the MM education pattern should have a whole view of design in the first place, and delve into teaching materials, grasp curriculum requirements, clarify case relationships and build teaching design to fully consider the basic elementary functions (1) in the three design of recitation path. On the basis of the overall thinking and the students learning, using MM education pattern, the author design three recitation about exponential function and logarithmic function, power function progressively, through after-school investigation, the author found that recitation based on MM education pattern is beneficial to stimulate students interest in learning and improve the learning efficiency, and it is more effective than the traditional teaching design and implementation, which shows MM education pattern can effectively promote students’math progress. Besides, the author, on the basis of reflections on design, puts forward some suggestions and thinking.
