Pedagogy of Variation is familiar to math teachers; the so far variant teaching in class is an essential characteristic in junior middle school math teaching in China.Pedagogy of Variation is a teaching method, which is based on Modern Educational Theory. In the guidance of New Curriculum Standard, math teachers change the outstanding examples that are proved by students in many different ways, such as requirements, conclusions, methods, forms and so on. It’s a new teaching method which changes the nature of the case to highlight the everlasting essential feature. It gives students a chance to find out the everlasting essential feature, what’s more important, they can recognize laws in the process. Pedagogy of Variation focused on the further study on setting questions and the math exercise. It demonstrates the formation process of knowledge fully in this passage. It also concentrates on the formation of knowledge, strengthen the cognitive structure. What’s more, it concentrates on abandoning the workbook, instead, to improve the students’ inductive generalization ability and make their ways of thinking better, so that we can improve the quality of math teaching effectively.Based on the theory of mathematical education and the practice of teaching, I analyze the pedagogy of teaching which has Chinese characteristic, and I elaborate the significance of further study in this teaching method in three ways. They are the importance of math variable type teaching, the meaning of pedagogy teaching in quality education and the interactive teaching influenced by pedagogy teaching. It concludes the theoretical basis — the theory of Constructivism, the meaningful learning theory, the theory of Madden, the zone of proximal development(ZPD) and the scaffolding theory.It also concludes the principles in putting pedagogy of teaching into effect. They are goal orientation principle, progressive acceptable principle, appropriate effective principle, inspiration and innovation principle and the Student- centered principle. I also show some cases and their canalizations based on the teaching practice.As a middle school math teacher, only if I enrich education teaching theory, can I find the direction to adhere. I should rethink during the teaching progress, to form my own education theory achievement, and to guide my own education practice,What’s more important is to improve the quality of teaching.
