A Research On Resident’s Satisfaction And Demands For The Service Of Shanghai Public Sport Venues

With the development of the society and the progressive era, the people’s livelihood issues have been a focus of the society, at the same time, the improvement of residents’ living standard and democratic consciousness make people pay more attention to their own health problems and increase the demand for the public sport services, the quality and supply ability of the public sports service would affect the health and quality of people’s lives immediately. On the other hand, facility service as a basic sport service which is the essential condition for providing public sport service and the public venues is one of the important places where provide these service, what is more important, the sport venue plays a key role in meeting people’s demands for sport and providing public sport service. However, the public service which provided by the public sport venue couldn’t meet the demands of residents’ actual physical exercise at this stage, the quality and content of public sport service couldn’t meet residents’ expectation neither. These problems reflect the contradiction for the supply and demand of public sport service.In order to realize the actual situation of the Shanghai Sport Venues and residents’ actual evaluation and demand level for the Venues, this paper was based on the perspective of residents who do exercise in the public sport venues and the author had been several venues in Shanghai to conduct the questionnaire which consisted by two parts,one is that residents’ satisfaction evaluation for the quality and content of public sport service that provided by public sport venue, the other one is residents’ demand for these service. Author also adopted a variety of research methods, such as literature method, questionnaire survey, field research method,expert interview, mathematical statistic and logical analysis. Though the study, we could find that:1) Shanghai residents were not satisfied with the overall quality of the public sport service which provided by the public sport venue;2)There are some association between each dimension of the satisfaction; 3) The age, education, monthly income, and monthly exercise spending are main influencing factors of the satisfaction; 4) Residents had diversified demands for public sport service which provided by public sport venue; 5) There were many problems in the process of public sport service which provided by Shanghai public sport venues, lack of quantity, the content of public sport service is not rich, the service couldn’t meet residents’ diversified demand, less way to make an appointment for facilities, low efficiency of feedback channels, the charging standard was unreasonable, bad service attitude; 6) According to above problems, author had put forward four suggestions, public sport venues should transform the supply model and provide diversified service for residents, establish feedback mechanism, perfect and broaden the way to make an appointment for facilities, adopt the model of government purchase, implement different charging standard, adopt incentive and evaluation mechanism, increase the employee’s enthusiasm to improve the quality of the public sport service.The research data carried out in this paper aimed at the Shanghai government and related departments to realize the situation of this field, and it would be good for the government adopt related methods and measures, meanwhile, I wish these data would make contribute to the theory development and content derived of this field for the public sports venues.
