With the implementation of the reforming of high school English curriculum and propulsion, the formulation and implementation of “The English Curriculum Standard for High School Students(experiment draft) " indicate the path and the direction for the process of curriculum reform. “Task-based teaching” has become the mainstream of the current high school English teaching method. With the background of new curriculum reform, English writing for students of English language ability requirements are higher than ever before. As an important content in an English teaching and examination proposition, it has the vital role.Based on constructivist learning theory, cognitive development theory and the theory of discovery learning theory, and “The English Curriculum Standard for High School Students(experiment draft)”. In combination with the practical situation of current high school English teaching, 114 students were set as experimental object, which were belonged to the author’s classes. The test is divided into two groups: experimental class and comparative classes. Experimental classes use task-based writing teaching method and comparative classes use traditional writing teaching method. Reasonably plan two classes’ course quantity and schedule. Two classes and the class hours are the same, maintain the normal order of teaching. The experience combined two methods: experimental group and control group and test of before and after the experience design and experimental measurement method. The author regarded the new standard for writing ability training goal as the guide to carry out the task-based writing teaching experiment. Test of before and after the implementation of the experimental method is divided into two parts: before and after the composition and before and after the test of the questionnaire survey. Through comparing test composition before and after the test, we can explore whether the task-based teaching method is more advantageous to improve the writing ability of senior high school students; Through the questionnaire before and after the contrast test, we can test and contrast hypothetical situation.The study found that task-based teaching method compared with the traditional teaching method, can arouse the enthusiasm of the students’ initiative and writing and improve the students’ writing ability.
