In recent years, the index of lung capacity of youth in our country has declined all the time. To promote the physical health level of students, make them be diligent to acquire knowledge and serve the country and put the "health goes first" guiding ideology into practice, the ministry of education, the State general administration of sports, and the communist youth league central issue the "Millions of students do sports under sunshine" nationwide. The whole country initiates a upsurge of "sunshine sports. " (which means encouraging students to do sports under sunshine)There are 10 middle schools in Yanji City, carrying out the sunshine sports in the middle schools in Yanji is not only related to the health of the middle school students, but also the future of Yanji development. According to the method of literature collection, questionnaire and mathematical statistics, etc., by means of fact-finding, the paper presents the current situation of "sunshine sports" in middle schools in Yanji from the following three parts:physical education proceedings situation, awareness of "sunshine sports", factors that affecting the conduct of "sunshine sports"1. The researched schools in Yanji all carry out physical education according to the syllabus. Referring to the content of the physical education, most boys like the powerful and adversarial sports while most girls like flexible sports. With the upgrade of students, there are fewer occupied physical education classes. All the above presents that the schools increasingly emphasize the "sunshine sports"2. The research shows that teachers of physical education pay attention to the "sunshine sports", while head teachers in class and school leaders don’t have enthusiasm to the "sunshine sports". what’ s more, the awareness of "sunshine sports" to the students increases with the upgrade of students, which is from the teachers of physical education. The forms of "sunshine sports" are break-time exercises and outdoor activities. Yanji No.4 middle school acts martial arts as the content of "sunshine sports" and No.8 middle school, No.12 middle school, Yanji experimental middle school put rope skipping as the content of " sunshine sports".72 percent of students are interested in the "sunshine sports". While because of the limited finance of physical education, it’s difficult to equip and repair the facility and sports fields in addition that the payment of physical education teachers is not timely to improve, which all become the factors affecting the conduct of " sunshine sports " and reduce the enthusiasm of the teacher’s participation of "sunshine sports". However, although the support of the third year of middle school students’ parents has increased 20 times to the first and second year students’ parents, nearly half of parents don’t approve the children of taking part in activities for long time. Referring to the factors that affecting the participation of "sunshine sports" and the problems, the paper offers some suggestions which are available to provide reference for relevant departments. The leaders and teachers of physical education in middle schools should comprehend the connotation of " sunshine sports" and establish the efficient and long-term operating mechanism, judging and supervision systems.
