On college campuses, micro public welfare activities have become a new form of college students’ social practice. College students in the micro public welfare activities in order to meet the needs of their moral development and perfection, choose to suit their own micro public means to participate in the activities, consciously to the social requirements of thought morals internalizes for their own moral consciousness and performance for moral behavior.Therefore, the micro public welfare activities of college students is not only the way of the college students’ moral education, and is also an effective way to moral education in colleges in the new period.Keep up with The Times’development trendency, research on college students’ moral education functions of public welfare activities, not only develop college students’ ideology and morality, improve moral education in colleges, but also can promote the public welfare undertakings.The author through collecting relevant literature data,analyzing the cases of mocro public welfare activities of college students’,define the connotation、 characteristics and types of college students’ micro public welfare activities and its functions of moral education. From society and college students individual, to dig deeper into the moral education function of college students micro public welfare activities, and based on the reality of college students and the present situation of public welfare activities, tentatively points out that college students micro public welfare activities’ problems existing in the moral education function, the scope and degree of the function of moral education is limited and its sustainability is insufficient, and the reason analysis, part of the college students’ concept of micro public welfare is weak, social and school’s support is insufficient,the propaganda、 management and the ability to look for resources of micro public welfare organization is inadequate. And puts forward how to better play the function of moral education: to cultivate the consciousness of college students to participate in the activities of the micro public welfare, society and schools to strengthen support of public welfare activities of college students, improve the level of college students micro public welfare organization. So as to promote the effective realization of moral education function of college students’ micro commonweal.
