Urban Women Acquirement Of Career Status Based On Social Capital Theory

In recent years, research of social capital has extensive attention and concern by scholars both at home and abroad. Many scholars explored and researched the social capital from different perspective and gain a lot of outstanding academic results. But women as the research object are not comprehensively and thoroughly. Firstly, from status of women’s social capital research, we can see that the research of Women career development is not an independent research category, rather than gender contrasts. Women are just a reference group; secondly, women’s social capital research also stays on the level of studying the characteristics of the female social capital; thirdly the use of women’s social capital and the effect are lack of quantitative research.Based on this, this thesis takes Beijing urban women as the study group and discusses the use of social capital and the effects brought by social capital. The significance of research lies in:on the one hand, this research can enrich social capital research and expand the scope of research; on the other hand, research the situation of women’s social capital and the impact of social capital can help us to put forward the methods and countermeasures to promote the development of women’s career from a multidimensional perspective This will help to further the improvement of women’s status in the contemporary society.Survey results show that social capital including network scale, extensity, human capital have a significant impact for women. In the aspect of the social capital returns, upper reachability,age, and human capital has a significant effect.Overall, the article is divided into the following parts:Firstly, the introduction, mainly introduces the research background, research purpose and the significance and research method and technical route.
