Reasearch On The Support Mechanism Of Problem College Students

With the expansion of the enrolment scale, quantity of students show a downward trend in the relative, the problem undergraduates’issues tend to be more and more serious. It is important to understand the issue of the problem student, for which can contributes to the development of Chinese higher education, harmony and stability of society. However, the present management of problem students is generally incomplete. An early warning mechanism which can identify the problem has not established, the assistance for student is rigid and lack of follow-up tracking, consequently failed to stimulate the aid-workers’ initiative. The categories of problem students are not clearly divided by academics, and the solutions are not targeted or practical relatively. Therefore, based on analysis of the impact factors of problem students, this study estimated a early warning and aiding system, which provided targeted support measures and arouse the aid-workers’enthusiasm adequately.Based on literature reviewing about the problem students’ define, category and assistance, combining with the implementation of the assistance policy in some university, this study divided the problem students into two types:the students who have academic or psychological problems. Based on literature reviewing, the article initially extracted some academic warning elements in the method Delphi theory. Combined the previous research and college actual practices, integrated experts’ thesis, we conducted an academic warning evaluation system. The indicators in present research are pointed by some school student workers on their own work experience, however, they are lack of theory basis. Therefore this research’s key work is proposing the psychological subhealth early warning indicators system to the university student on foundation of the theory construction, then the research tested the indicators system through factor analysis, finally defined the psychological subhealth early warning indicator system.Combined with each type of problem college students, the study established standard aid measures which are similar to menu service. Specifically, make it clear that the responsibilities of help-workers, helping objects, helping types, helping reasons, helping processes, helping stage effects, helping test results, follow-up assistance and other contents, try to correct the previous problems which are incomplete records, poor accountability and no follow-up tracking.Through questionnaires and interviews, make sure the expectations and opinions of help-workers about the relevant incentive mechanism. The research conclusions are:in addition to material incentives, the universities need to motivate help-workers on the achievement evaluation, title promote and training opportunities. Take counselors for example, the university should take measures include clearing job responsibilities, establishing a scientific and standardized evaluation system, improving salary incentive, working out sustainable career development.Based on theory and analysis methods of system science and economic early-warning, the study established logic frame of managing the help of problem students. On this basis, the study constructed its theoretic model which is composed by basic information, warning judgment, helping management, experience exchange, reward and punishment notice supported by early warning mechanisms, helping mechanisms and motivation mechanisms. The function of early warning of problems students, target assistance,and taking measures to prevent problems arise can make true in the system. Then the research discussed and designed the theoretical model of the system structure and function, warning evaluation, helping management module were analyzed and discussed as case studies.
