With the help of Date Volley software, this thesis analyzes the utilization of women’s volleyball players’backline attacks in the three Olympic volleyball games from2004to2012, which includes angles such as the frequency of backline attacks, spiking effects, ball-serving areas and landing points. It provides a comprehensive data analysis using independent sample T test, single factor analysis of variance and deviation method to find the differences of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks and the gap with world top teams in using backline attacks. And then the paper probes into the developmental trends of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks. The author mainly draws the following conclusions:1Starting from "quantity" and "quality", the trends of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks in2004-2012Olympic volleyball games and the differences with world top teams can be fully reflected through the comparisons of the frequency of backline attacks, backline attacks’ball-serving areas, landing points, the frequency of backline attacks in first attack and counter attack, the proportion of covered and uncovered backline attacks and the backline attack spiking effects2Through the longitudinal comparative study of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks in three Olympic Games, it can be seen that the using frequency of backline attacks is rising. And the consciousness of actively-organized backline attacks is stronger but the successful rate of spiking is decreasing. In2012Olympic Games, the ratio of backline attacks is decreasing in first attack system, which is connected with the successful rate of spiking. There’s no significant difference in ball-serving areas in the three Olympic Games.3Through the horizontal comparison of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks in three Olympic Games with the world top team, it can be seen that in2004Olympic Games, the frequency of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks is much lower than that of the world top teams but the successful rate of spiking is much higher. And the backline attacks organized by No6player are much more than those of world top teams. The same goes with covered backline attacks. In2008and in2012, the frequency of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks is increasing and the distance with world top teams is narrowed gradually. The ball-serving areas and the using frequency are nearly the same in first attacks and counter attacks. On average, the consciousness of Chinese women’s volleyball team in organizing covered backline attacks is better than world top teams, but it has no big advantage in the dead rate of backline attacks.4Based on the dead rate of backline attacks of Chinese and foreign women’s volleyball teams at three consecutive Olympics, the grade evaluation standard is established. The performances of Chinese women’s volleyball team in the two games in2004Olympics can be rated "Great" The performances in2008Olympics can be rated "Better"," Pass"," Poor" respectively. And the performances in all the six games in2012Olympics can be rated "Pass". The trend is accordant with the longitudinal comparative study of Chinese women’s volleyball team in using backline attacks.
