The Study On The Path Of Cultivation And The Practice Of Socialist Core Values In Universities

The report of the18th Communist party congress was first proposed that "we have to promote prosperity, democracy, civilization and harmony; we have to advocate freedom, equality, justice and rule of law; we have to insist patriotism, dedication, integrity and kindness." It requires people to cultivate and practice the socialist core values actively. Currently, China has the social reality of values diversity, the social mainstream ideology is facing severe challenges, young college students are affected mostly. With the enthusiasm and creativity, college students are curious about newly emerging things. However, due to the special environment, the age, the level of psychological development, college students are easily to fall into the value of confusion and perplexity which would be cause moral relativism and nihilism. They need the correct value reference guide. Consequently, as the leading of national education, universities should attach great importance to the education of socialist core values. Closely connecting with the "three advocates" and the development of the students, from the five aspects of education and guidance, campus cultural infiltration, campus public opinion guidance, social practice cultivation and effective mechanism construction, educators have to explore the multidimensional path of socialist core values education and help the college students to establish the correct outlook and values.
