During the past few years, new teaching methodologies soared with theimplementation of fundamental curriculum reformation.“Guiding students withTask-based studies” teaching mode known as an educational mode with the intention toencourage self-studying and independence development, is getting more recognitionamong many schools.Starting in2011,“Guiding students with Task-based studies” teaching mode wasput into practice in our school for experimental purposes. Based on the experience overthe past three years, our moral education research team has created a preliminarypractice mode, which has a positive impact in enhancing in-class teaching efficiency.The purpose of this paper is to summarize and retrospect the feasibility of “Guidingstudents with Task-based studies” teaching mode in moral education class for juniorhigh school students on the basis of three-year experimental practice.Our study has three parts. The first part is an overview of “Guiding students withTask-based studies” teaching mode in moral education class in junior high school,based on both domestic and foreign studies. It also includes an argumentation ofnecessity and feasibility of“Guiding students with Task-based studies” teaching modefor moral education in-class teaching. The second part has a detailed discussion on theactual“Guiding students with Task-based studies” teaching mode experimental practicein Suzhou No.16middle school, which provides supplementary specificationsto“Guiding students with Task-based studies” teaching mode on the practical side.Ultimately, a new teaching methodology with Suzhou No.16middle schoolcharacteristics was formed:“Guiding students with Task-based studies” teaching mode five-step new-course teaching mode and “Guiding students with Task-based studies”teaching mode five-step course-reviewing teaching mode. Thirdly, the effectiveness ofany teaching mode needs to be proved in practice. After an overall evaluation of theeffectiveness of “Guiding students with Task-based studies” teaching mode in moraleducation, we have concluded that it produced positive feedbacks. On the other side,some defects were identified and this paper has proposed certain appropriate responses.This study is to provide reference on advocating and perfection of “Guiding studentswith Task-based studies” teaching mode teaching mode.
