The Sustainable Development Of Voluntary Service Of College Students In Jiangsu Province

Chinese youth volunteer activities officially began at the end of1993, after nearly20years of development, the young volunteers from scratch, from small to large, volunteerservices from single to diversification, the work has achieved rapid development. Theuniversity volunteers as the main force of the youth volunteers, played a positive role in theconstruction of socialist spiritual civilization and the construction of harmonious society.Explore a sustainable development of university volunteer service suitable for the situationof Jiangsu province’s way, has important practical significance to the construction of threecivilizations of Jiangsu province. Therefore, how to make sustainable university volunteerservice development in Jiangsu province is an important issue in front of us. The universityvolunteer service in Jiangsu as the breakthrough point, according to a study on the stage, themovement characteristics of the existing volunteer service, in-depth exploration of thevolunteer service persistent obstacles, which restrict the sustainable development of collegesand universities volunteering clear obstacles, such as laws and regulations are not perfect, thelack of funds, the incentive mechanism is not a sound training system, activity content in depthis not enough, promote the lack of personnel is not stable, and so on. Learn from thesuccessful experience of development of foreign university volunteer service, combined withthe actual situation of Jiangsu province, propose countermeasures mechanism, managementmechanism, operation mechanism, incentive mechanism are suggested to further improverelevant mechanism of Jiangsu province university volunteer service, to promote thesustainable development of volunteer service.Specifically, this paper is divided into five parts:The first part: introduction. In this part, first introduced the background and significanceof research, then summarizes the domestic and international research status, and also brieflyintroduce the important points of the research methods and ideas, the possible problems and so on.The second part: summarize the concepts of volunteers, volunteer service, collegevolunteers, volunteer service in colleges and universities, and the theoretical basis, maincharacteristics and significance briefly sums up the volunteer service; elaborated thedevelopment process of the national university volunteer service and Jiangsu provinceuniversity volunteer service.The third part: point out the main factors that restrict the sustainable development of theuniversity volunteer service, namely, the laws and regulations is not perfect, the lack of funds,the incentive mechanism is not perfect, not system training, activity content in depth is notenough, promote the lack of personnel is not stable, and so on.The fourth part: mainly introduce the history and the development of foreign universityvolunteer service, and successful experience that Jiangsu province university volunteer servicecan be used for reference.The fifth part: based on the foreign successful experience in the development ofuniversity volunteer service, discuss how to promote the sustainable development of volunteerservice, starting from the organization mechanism, management mechanism, operationmechanism, incentive mechanism, put forward the development ideas and countermeasures ofJiangsu Province university volunteer service.
