Research On University Campus Tennis Culture Xi’an Area

Being a sport with a history of hundreds of years, tennis promotes the generation of tennis culture with its own development. The development of tennis culture plays a positive role in promoting the national fitness and spiritual civilization construction and creates a culture atmosphere to facilitate social harmony.The author begins the research from basic concept and development of tennis culture and analyzes the connotation and characteristics of it. By means of conducting a questionnaire survey of ten universities in Xi’an and analyzing the results, the author summarizes current situation of tennis culture construction and development in Xi’an and gives some suggestions to it, hoping to accelerate the launch of tennis culture activities in Xi’an and even the whole country.1. With participation of college students and teachers being the main part, tennis being the main content, college campus tennis culture is an entirety of tennis material culture, tennis spiritual culture, working system and behavioral culture, which exhibit a unique form of culture life of college students.2. In most colleges and universities in Xi’an, the common understanding of campus tennis culture is far from being adequate, so the construction of the campus tennis culture does not receive the due attention. Although many colleges have introduced the campus tennis project in the campus, tennis culture is still not fully developed.3. We need to start from multi-angle, multi-level, to cultivate campus tennis culture; we need to combine the material culture, spiritual and cultural, system and behavioral culture to balance the development of campus tennis culture.Suggestions:1. We should perfect tennis facilities, provide material conditions for tennis.2. We should excavate the campus tennis culture and provide a platform for it to play its unique educational function.3. We should reform tennis course in time and elective way, raise the importance of the tennis theory course.4. We should enforce the schooling capacity.5. We should promote campus tennis culture through competition and push the development of campus athletics tennis.6. We should strengthen the propaganda of the tennis related knowledge and popularize the etiquette to promote the development of tennis sport in colleges and universities.
