"The full-time compulsory education Chinese curriculum standard"(2011edition) and"Ordinary high school language curriculum standard"(2003edition) have both made clear rules of Chinese teaching goals for middle schools, for attaching great importance to the flexible use ability of language for the students in this period. Language teaching is the core of Chinese teaching, while rhetoric teaching holds the important task of language teaching, to obtain the optimal expression effect of language use of normalization and appropriateness. But, in fact, rhetoric teaching hasn’t been cared and concerned by frontline middle school teachers. As time passes, the students’language ability and Chinese literacy haven’t been advanced and improved well.Rhetoric teaching is an important content of Chinese teaching, for it should be better served for Chinese teaching and plays its due positive role. However, in present middle schools of Chinese teaching, it has not been concerned. So, in present middle schools of Chinese teaching, what is the situation of rhetoric teaching? What are the problems? How to solve them? Opinions vary. Then, combined with the actual situation of Chinese rhetoric teaching in middle schools, and as a starting point, we discuss the questions on the three aspects of rhetoric teaching in this paper:Part one, we analyze the present problems existing in Chinese rhetoric teaching of middle schools. Combined with specific teaching class of rhetoric, and from the three aspects of content, knowledge, and method, we have a reflection of present Chinese rhetoric teaching.Part two, we discuss rhetoric and middle school Chinese teaching. Respectively, we expound the three sections of Chinese rhetoric teaching in middle schools, and the three sections are the principle, the purpose and the specific content. Thus we make it clear that rhetoric teaching is an indispensable part of Chinese teaching, and value that rhetoric teaching is the need of time development, so Chinese teaching should go the way of rhetoric teaching.Part three, aiming at the problems of rhetoric teaching existing in current middle schools, we put forward some suggestions. The author thinks that we can have the following solutions:inductive integration, and overall arrangement; improving teachers’ understanding of rhetoric knowledge, and permeate the rhetoric teaching into Chinese teaching; Improving teaching methods, to improve students’interest in learning rhetoric; Facing negative rhetoric, and play its role in the rhetorical teaching. The purpose of rhetoric is to "Practice what you learnt", and in the process of rhetoric teaching, teachers should ensure the scientific nature of teaching and improve the quality of Chinese teaching. Of course, these suggestions are also questionable, and for reference only.After the third part, there is a conclusion, which is the author’s brief summary and a bit thoughts of this article.
