With the continuous development of information technology, the internet andcomputer games at an alarming rate, continue to penetrate into people’s learning andlife, many of the traditional life and learning style was changed.With the deepeningof the reform of teaching secondary vocational education reform and innovationaction plan has been put on the agenda. The goal of secondary vocational educationis to train a group of highly skilled personnel. Traditional teaching methods andteaching has been difficult to achieve the desired effect, and is not conducive toimproving the overall quality comprehensive people-oriented.With the developmentof the era educational game was introduced to the secondary class. Educational gameis both educational and entertainment.Which not only can make up for theshortcomings of the traditional teaching methods, but also make it easier for bothteachers and students actively into learning process.This paper documents the use of literature search method, questionnaire,research methods, Educational game was introduced to the secondary class toexplore the application value and teaching effect in vocational schools. Firstly, thispaper has investigated the educational games’application status of the secondaryvocational school. Questionnaires including teachers’ version and students’, mainlyfrom the usage of educational games, acceptable degree and applicationrequirements of classroom teaching. Then combined with the existing teachingmodel and the characteristics of computer application basic course, this paperstructured the inquiry-based model and collaborative competition model. In order toconfirm the application mode, select two computer application professional classesof grade2013in the secondary vocational school. The introduction of educationalgames in the experimental class, and traditional teaching was used in thecomparative class.Through the comparative analysis of teaching effect,educationalgames can effectively improve the students’enthusiasm and initiative. From apractical point of view to prove the feasibility and advantages of educational gamesused in teaching.Finally, the paper put forward proposals from the development of educational games, increasing the self-control of vocational students, the teachers’role and the construction of educational game evaluation system. Which couldprovide suggestions for the application research of the educational games in thesecondary vocational school.
