According to the request of elementary education curriculum reform, the authoritydecentralized the curriculum management right and implemented national, local andschool three-level management system. The development and management of thecourse is no longer just the obligation of the country and some experts. The newschool-based curriculum reform requires local related people and teachers to beinvolved in the development of the course which will inject new blood to thecurriculum development team and make the curriculum management systemincreasingly improved. With rapid development of the society, there is a large amount of talent demand. Itprovides more employment opportunities for vocational high school education andstudents. Another big problems vocational school facing is how to train the vocationalschool students to become high professional skills, solid cultural foundation, and noblemoral qualities of "high, refined, special talent". In addition, many secondaryvocational schools believe that their schools implement the vocational education andtechnical education and ignore the basic knowledge education. Regardless of thestudents’ interests and professional needs, it uses national teaching material of littlechanges or local teaching material, which makes the students passive to learn the basicknowledge and makes a serious deviation from the requirements of education policy inChina.STSE chemistry school-based curriculum can not only improve the students’interest in learning chemistry but also cultivate the students’ inquiry ability and teamcooperation consciousness. Apart from that, it can also cultivate the students’ nativeemotions, recognize that knowledge comes from life and serve life, experience thecharm of chemistry learning. This article is based on a great amount of material study. It analyzes the learningsituation of vocational middle school students’ chemistry and the present situation ofschool-based curriculum development. It is completed by chemical teachers, socialenterprise, community and other relevant people. The source of chemical STSEschool-based curriculum content is wide. It mainly combined chemistry learning andSTSE concepts to cultivate students of STSE consciousness. The teachers change the traditional teaching modes in the implementation processof chemistry STSE school-based curriculum. The teachers use the inquiry teachingmode to develop the students’ practical ability and thinking ability. During the inquiryprocess, the students’ willpower is tempered and the students’ inquiry learningconfidence is improved. In addition, in the process of teaching, teachers pay attentionto training and developmenting the students’ occupation personality. In the class theteachers start with the students’ interests and take the student as the main body, in orderto cultivate the student’s healthy personality. The teachers focus on the development ofstudents in curriculum evaluation and pay attention to the diversification of evaluation. The development and implementation on vocational school chemical-basedcurriculum is generally successful. It not only accords with the students’ developmentneeds, but also can promote the transformation of teacher’s teaching idea in a certainextent. Finally, I hope through the development and implementation of the STSEchemistry school-based curriculum, to provide reference for the development ofschool-based curriculum in secondary occupation middle school.
