Current Situation Survey And Development Research Of Bowling Project Training Bases In Jiangsu Province

Objective: To get a total picture of the layout of bowling project training bases inJiangsu province and know their general information, venues, coaches, players, training,etc.. As well as to analyze the existing problems and put forward the correspondingcountermeasures and provide the reference for the construction of training base in future.Methods: Based on survey and interview for five bowling project training bases in Jiangsuprovince, using literatures, questionnaire, expert interviews and other methods to getvarious data reflecting the current situation of the bowling training bases in JiangsuProvince. And analyze the statistical data to draw a conclusion finally. Results:(1) Jiangsuprovince established5bowling training bases totally in the last ten years, includingYancheng bowling training base, which is supervised directly by municipal bowlingassociation, and the rest are under the management of the standing director members ofmunicipal bowling association run by social force. The venues and equipment basicallyalready can satisfy the need of normal training and competition. According to the survey,shortage of funds is the biggest obstacle to the development of training bases.(2) Coaches:well-distributed in all age groups, national coaches account for12%, undergraduate orgraduate college, rich training experience but weak on scientific research, less on-the-jobtraining, and modest income.(3) Player: The experience is the major way to select players.The source of them is diversity and age-span is large. The number of those who under30years old only accounts for33.92%.(4) Base training situation: Athlete training is mostlybased on coaches’ personal experience and event-group training theory. The proportion ofcontent as follow: Skills (43.28%); psychological training (21.46%); intelligent training(14.33%); quality training (20.93%).(5) The solutions presented in this paper, such asoptimize the base layout, strengthen coaches’ on-the-job training; increase participativeopportunity; attract social investment, make use of school resources, can provide a theoretical and methodological support to promote sustainable development of bowlingtraining bases in Jiangsu Province. Conclusion:(1) The distribution of bowling trainingbases is unbalance but the base construction and training significantly improve the bowlinglevel and performance. The shortage of funding brings about less competition.(2) Coaches,who have rich experiences, unreasonable structure of educational background andthe titles of professional post, insufficient scientific research ability, are willing toparticipate in job training.（3）The pressure of work and school gives rise to the seriousloss of talent. Therefore, school resources should be given full role to promote long-termdevelopment.(4) The bowling technical training in our country is still in the exploratorystage. And it has not formed the own theory of technical training. Researchers should beguided to intervene the bowling training, and the coaches’ study on bowling technicaltraining theory should be strengthened.
