| Anhui Fencing Men Team has unprecedentedly won one gold medal and two silver medals in the12th National Athletic Meeting. This paper will orient toward physical preparation of Anhui Men Fencing team for this meeting and set research objective as how to improve their athletic abilities. I will use the methods of document discussion, log’ic analysis and video observation to examine and generalized the inherent rules of fencing and design approaches of physical training, which would be materialized by me during training process. A whole year’s practice has led to following conclusions:1. Through video observation, it could be identified that such actions in epee as spurt, lunge and others would make force without leaving the place and has more requirements than foil for the speed and depth of attacking movements, therefore, in terms of leg strength training, the maximum strength training and explosive strength training should be enhanced.2. The CK level of Jiao Yunlong has endured a relatively intense fluctuation during the period of strength improvement. Despite of the improved physical strength, only one-week’s rest will be detriment for maintaining the preciseness of sword point.3. The statistics about the heart beat rate of both epee and foil athletes show that90%-100%HRmax of foil athletes would cover67.71%of whole contest while epee is14.2%, hence, the HRmax training should be improved in non-oxygen training of epee. However, this research has its limitations and weak points, first is the low volume of research sample due to the limited number of key players, additionally, the performance of athletes during competition would be determined by personal skills, physical strength, mental soundness and competing environment. The conclusion based on the subjective judgment of referees and the feedback from athletes could hardly be substantiated by experimental statistics, for instance, the argument in conclusion1that rapid improvement of physical strength would harm the preciseness of sword point. These conclusions still need to be tested by training practice in future. |
