The Anthropological Investigation Of Traditional Chi Nese Toys In Fujian Hua’an Mianzhi Village

Traditional children’s toys means games or toys for children to play embodies the traditional folk wisdom. Traditional children’s toys is a kind of culture, which has a wide variety and special meaning for the growth of children in many aspects, such as intellectual development, practical ability training, creativity cultivation, character molding, etc. It’s not difficult to find that traditional toys has a significant cultural adaptability through further analysis. Previous research on traditional toys, mostly from the perspective of folklore, psychology and sociology, more of guide and introduction in technical operation. In this paper, by using field investigation, comparative research and other anthropological research methods, the author present his collected information which based on20days fieldwork survey in Jinzhi village, Hua’an county, Zhangzhou, Fujian; then using cultural adaptation theory to analyze the important function and significance of traditional children’s toys for early childhood education, children growth, child mental, children’s self-fashioning and social shaping. Changes of traditional children’s toys are also cultural changes. Children’s toys affected by many factors, such as gender differences, the gap between rich and poor and regional differences, etc. Modern society needs protect and inherit traditional children’s toys, including good collection, Introduced to Classroom, brand building, tourism development, doing good publicity and institutional guarantee, etc. in that way, children’s toys can play its important role in child development better, so as to achieve its adaptable existing.
