As the growth of the age, the functions of middle-aged and elderly people (especially women) gradually decline, also their health is threatened by a variety of new disease. Along with the development of times, science and technology, human’s material and cultural life level, the phenomenon of an aging population appears in many countries and the trend is getting increasingly obvious.Especially in China, it becomes much more prominent and more serious. Therefore, it has become a vital project to do research on the physical health of old people, pay attention to strengthen their health care and slow down the aging process.Through the methods of documents, experiments and statistics, this research selected98permanent residents (women) in Xi’an of the age50-59as study subjects, who didn’t take part in regular physical exercise in the past year but healthy. They were randomly divided into two groups and separately for a period of four-month jogging and spinning. Then undertake a comprehensive study of the changes on their physical fitness. The results show that after four-month jogging and spinning, both of the subjects improve their physical quality to some extent, but there’s no big difference between the two sample mean(P>0.05). As for the jogging group, the mean of the subjects’speed quality, flexibility quality index differs significantly before and after the exercise intervention(P<0.01).So does the mean of endurance quality index in VO2max, the AT-oxygen pulse(P<0.01), and the mean of VO2max-MET,the AT time(P<0.01), while there’s no big significant difference in the mean of AT-VO2.As for the spinning group (before and after the physical exercise intervention), the mean of the subjects’ speed quality, flexibility quality index and power quality index(P<0.01), sensitive quality indicators(P>0.05), the AT time of endurance quality index(P<0.01),theVO2max-MET(P<0.05),theVO2max,VE-VO2max,AT-VO2,AT-oxyg en pulse(P>0.05). Analysis of the above results, the conclusions as follows:1, After4months of jogging, the increase of women’s (age:50-59) speed quality, flexibility and endurance quality index is relatively obvious, the power quality and sensitive quality indicators also have a certain degree of increase, but the increase is not obvious.2, After4months of spinning, the increase of women’s (age:50-59) speed quality, strength quality and flexibility index is significant, and the sensitive quality and endurance quality indicators have a certain degree of increase, but the increase is not obvious.3, After4months of exercise intervention, jogging and spinning movement for women aged50-59improve the physical quality to some extent, but there is no significant difference between them.
