Economicregulation, market supervision, social management and public service, are the four basicaspects of the functions of the government in the transformation period of our country, thedevelopment of public services is the priority among priorities of government work in thenew period. Public sports service is the embodiment of public services in the field ofsports, is to meet people’s sports needs, protect the people’s sports right, an importantmeans to promote physical fitness of the whole nation generally improve.In this paper, the supply of public sports service in Anhui Province as the researchobject, using the method of literature, questionnaire survey method, interview method,mathematical statistics, logical analysis and other research methods, combined with thepublic management science, administration, sociology and other related disciplines tostudy the theory and practice of the supply of public sports service in Anhui province.Aimed at combining through theoretical and empirical research, provides the theorysupport for the follow-up study, and provide a reference basis for governmentdecision-making. To further improve the supply of public sports service in Anhui provincequality and level, to continue to meet the growing demand for diversification of sports,protect the people’s sports right, make efforts to build comparatively well-off society inthe round.This paper first discusses the background of public sport service, puts forwardthe theoretical and practical value. Second, defines some important concepts with theresearch. Again on the research status of the supply of public services and the supply ofpublic sports service are reviewed. On this basis, put forward the deficiency of the currentresearch on supply of public sports service in China and the research space. Construction part covers the theoretical basis about the supply of public sportsservice, supply of public sports service content and classification, the main supply andcooperation, supply mechanism and method the four part of the theory behind. Researchstatus of part, first elaborated the general situation of the supply of public sports service inAnhui Province, including institutional arrangement, the main facilities and other publicsports service supply situation of two parts, and analyzed the current situation of supply.Second, the supply of public sport service of five cities in Anhui province were analyzed,compared with the three part includes profile, five cities supply of public sports service,public sports service supply and demand, and the supply of public sports service five citiescharacteristic were analyzed.Based on the analysis of the theory and the present situation, and put forward theconclusion are: the supply can not meet people’s physical needs; supply of public sportsservice is unitary, the supply mechanism and its method should be improved; thedrawbacks of the government sports management system; citizen participation in theservice needs to be strengthened. And put forward some countermeasures: to furtherincrease the financial investment, the realization of public sports service equalizationdevelopment; speed up the transformation of government functions, build the good systemenvironment; accelerate the development of nonprofit sports organizations, construction ofpublic sports service supply mode; establishing and perfecting the citizen participationmechanisms and channels.
