Recently, private universities seize the opportunity to flourish and transport alarge number of application-oriented talents, playing a significant role in promoting thedevelopment of the social economy. However, compared with foreign privateuniversities, the quantity of successful domestic ones is smaller, due to thedevelopment of the time period, affected by capital constraints and national policies.There are many problems in the internal management of the school, especially thecompensation management problems, such as lack of funding source, the irrationalsalary structure, low level of benefits and so on.It is essential for the private universityto establish the mechanism based on modern human resource management theory,particularly the compensation management, acting the foothold to supporting thedevelopment strategy of private universities. Richly incentive pay system is theobjective requirement of the development of human resource management in privateuniversity. Scientific and reasonable compensation management system is an importantmeasure to private universities moving forward by attracting, retaining and motivatingthe talented.By studying the relevant literatures about compensation management and jobevaluation, the paper demonstrates the interaction between compensation managementand job evaluation, expecting to achieve fairness of the private universitycompensation management through the job evaluation techniques. Make a research onthe salary systems in the domestic and external higher school, learning from thesuccessful experience to optimize and reform the management of the domestic privateuniversities. Analysis on the problems of private colleges conducting compensationmanagement, seeking the appropriate methods to designing the compensation ofprivate universities involved, namely a combination of job evaluation techniques,designing the remuneration of university-based based on the job evaluation. Study thefactors of private universities compensation management, from the macro, meso andmicro perspective to start to explore the design and maintenance of private universitiessalary management system. Finally, take an evidence to validate the theories andmodel systems by identifying the existing problems and proposing the countermeasures, providing a reference to compensation system construction of privateuniversity and institutions, and provide reference for future in-depth study of theremuneration system theory and practice.
