The Body Construction Research Of Contemporary China Urban Women

Nowadays,weight loss phenomenon is wide-spread, Korean plastic culture is popular. science technology、medical technology make progress,combined with the mature body industry operation, people’s desire of beauty become intense, more and more women join in reducing weight and plastic. Body is viewed as art object to "shape", in order to achieve or close to the "beauty". The Article focuses on the urban women cosmetic practice of losing weight and plastic, I chose those women who is participating in cosmetic practice, at the same time I am in contact with them, in order to have a fully understanding. I chose the social construction theory of body sociology,use the research methods of observation and interview, from their daily life experiences, drawing urban women body construction practice process of pursuit beauty-beauty "shape".Full text use the construction perspective in the sociology of the body, according to the logic of three phase of construction to discuss,namely the "approach", " presence" and "exit". Research can be divided into five chapters altogether:the first chapter is the introduction, explain the topic of this paper, framework, main concepts, research methods and theoretical resources;the second chapter is "the original body experience fade away and physical approach", the social standards of beauty atmosphere vanish individual the original body experience,social construction how to perform.The third chapter is " the contradiction period of the presence body ", namely, this phase is contradictory body performance, discuss the social factors and individual factors how to work and urban women how to adapt and interpret this contradiction, the self construction starts to plays a role in this process. The fourth chapter is "out of the body",In this chapter i explains the phenomenon of exiting body,at the same time,i analyze the "exited" body how to integrate in daily life, in this chapter,also make a classification for different situations of exiting body. The fifth chapter is the summary of this research, advocate the contemporary female body have the freedom to express their body.Through the study,we found that women bodies experienced approach、present and exit in construction process.while self-construction and social construction proceed at the same time, but socially constructed only can play a role by the self-construction. Social construction mainly is physical appearance, shape, size,the main goal is to copy biological body, in order to have social body. They hope to through the biological body copy, in turn, can copy the experience of the social body. The social body experience is opportunity, good interpersonal relationship, success, and so on. Due to the standard of beauty is single, cosmetic result of weight-loss and plastic is also single, body image tend to become the same, nowadays, women bodies are not free, but to jump into a "the beauty of standard" social bondage. at the same time, the study found that some women abandon the social standard of beauty, they came to have their own standard to construct their bodies.This is a trend of body construction. meanwhile,it is a progress.
