Starting from 2001, our country began to adjust the layout of rural primary and secondary schools. The numbers of rural primary and secondary schools took a significant decrease led to many students’ distance to school in many areas have been changed. Whether the change in distance to school will affect the students’ score? What is the relationship between the students’ distance to school and school achievement? In order to better answer this question, the distance to school is will decomposed into three dimensions in this study: distance travelled, time spent on the way to school and fatigue degree. Base on the questionnaire survey for the primary and middle school students in H town, D country, J province, we can explore the influence mechanism of distance to school on students’ score. This study found:First, different achievement levels of students’ distance travelled and time spent on the way to school there exist significant difference, and low level of achievement group students’ distance travelled farther than the high level group, the low level of achievement group students spend more time on the way to school than the high level group,The fatigue degree of the students in middle school there exist significant difference, but the elementary students’ fatigue degree has no significant difference. Second, students’ distance travelled has a significant impact on students’ school achievement, the shorter the distance travelled, the more outstanding students’ achievement. Third, time spent on the way to school has a significant impact on students’ school achievement, the less the time spent on the way to school, the more outstanding students’ achievement. Fourth, fatigue degree has a significant impact on students’ school achievement, the lower the fatigue degree, the more outstanding students’ achievement. Finally, this study presents reasonable suggestions based on research findings.
