With the emergence and popularity of micro blog, micro letter and other new things whose names start with “micro”, micro-culture characterized by "micro, small and fast" comes into being and increasingly penetrates into people’s daily lives. As an important part of net citizens and main users of micro-culture transmission platform, college students are bound to be influenced by micro-culture, especially, their values are unconsciously influenced. Therefore, it is of great significance to research the influence of micro-culture on the values of college students for guiding them to have a correct view of micro-culture, properly use micro-culture transmission platform and establish proper values in Micro-age.This article includes a total of four parts. The first part is an introduction, focusing on the objective and significance of the topic, the domestic and overseas research status of micro-culture and college students’ value education, and research methods and innovations of this article. The second part focuses on the theories related to micro-culture and college students’ value education. This part starts from the concept of culture, roughly defines micro-culture in both its broad sense and narrow sense, explains the features of micro-culture including grass-roots subjects, fragmented content, interactive transmission and two-sided influence and attributes the forms of micro-culture to six aspects such as virtual social platform, micro literature, micro film and micro news, and then elaborates value, values and values education. The third part analyzes the status quo of college students’ micro-culture life, and against micro-culture transmission platform, states briefly its popularity among the college students, its integration with college students’ life and the strong dependence of college students on it; then sets forth the two-sided influence of micro-culture on college students’ value education, indicating that, for college students’ value education, micro-culture not only enriches its content, expands its carrier and adds its methods, but also make the guidance of mainstream values more difficult, the traditional authority of educators weaker and the effectiveness of the college students’ value education reduced. The fourth part presents specific ways of college students’ value education in the micro-culture background. College students’ value education in Micro-age is deeply subjected to a variety of environments including society, schools and Internet. Therefore, college students’ value education in the micro-culture background must gather forces of society, schools and college students themselves to form an resultant educational force, including: first, to utilize new media to improve the ideological and political theory teaching; second, to enrich micro-culture life on campus; third, to purify the micro-culture environment in the society; fourth, to improve college students’ micro-culture quality and strengthen their self-education.In short, through sorting micro-culture, general theories on college students’ value education and the current situation of college students’ micro-culture life, this article points out the impact of on college students’ value education in positive and negative aspects and based on this, proposes specific ways to conduct college students’ value education in the micro-culture background.
