| Visual communication design is an aspect of art and design school in the curriculum, its and thinking together, greatly promoting the reform of traditional teaching mode,which is the implementation of the new curriculum requirements. The new curriculum reformto students as the main body, to carry out high school fine arts curriculum design must respect the students’ personality development, combined with innovative thinking focus on training students’ imagination and creativity. Therefore, to establish a good teaching mode,the use of effective teaching methods, it also requires the teachers themselves must haveinnovative thinking, change the concept of the past, to guide and promote the formation of students’ innovation consciousness.In this paper, through visual communication design teaching and innovative thinking as a starting point, found the problem through teaching practice, targeted to research and resolve the problem, and then change the traditional mode of classroom teaching, guide students change the learning methods, using the method of innovative thinking toteaching practice, so as to cultivate students’ imagination and creativity.
