As an important component of the youth groups, the college student population is an important force in building socialism with Chinese characteristics and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The mainstream value of college students is a key factor that influences their undertaking of responsibility and role function. Nowadays the post-90 s college students growing up in the background of reform and opening up and the global integration have become the main body of colleges and universities. The special growth environment makes their unique ideological characteristics and values. In recent years, various western social ideological trends pour into China. On the other hand, multiple social problems and contradictions are emerging as China has entered the crucial period of deepening reform. Influenced by these factors, the post-90 s college students cannot look at and analyze things in a rational, comprehensive and dialectical view. As a result, they may doubt about the mainstream ideology.This study aims to promote the identity of socialist mainstream ideology for the post-90 s college students in the context of globalization and under the background of China’s high-speed development the research is of great significance. On one hand, it is conducive to study and summarize the experiences and rules in promoting young college students’ identity of socialist mainstream ideology in the new era. On the other hand, it can promote the ideological and political quality of the post-90 s college students, which can help and guide them to resolve value conflicts and finally become qualified builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics with the harmonious development of body and mind.Combined with literature research method and summarizing method, this paper conducted an academic analysis of the basic problems with respect to the identity of mainstream ideology for the post-90 s college students. The research suggests that the current mainstream ideology in China is the socialist ideology guided by the Marxist, whose essence is the socialist core value system. The identity of mainstream ideology, in fact, is the recognition and acceptance of the majority of social members for the socialist ideology. The hierarchy of needs theory, the audience theory and the value identity theory lay the theoretical basis of this study.By analyzing the data of questionnaire results. This study present a detailed objective description about the cognition, understanding and identity status of the mainstream ideology of the post-90 s college students.in the whole, the post-90 s college students identify with the mainstream ideology in our country. But, there also some problems such as identification insufficiency,emotional instability, disunity of moral knowledge and practice and identity distribution imbalance about the mainstream ideology. Combining microcosmic and macroscopic method, the study further made a detailed elaboration of the five factors that affect the identity of the mainstream ideology, namely, social f actors, school factors, family factors, individual factors and peer group. Finally, the paper proposed six principles and eight measures that need to be insisted on in order to enhance the identity of mainstream ideology for the post-90 s college students six principles are combining adhering to the leading with tolerance variety, combining lecturing knowledge with ideological guidance,combining theoretical study with practical education, combining inheritance for reference with innovation, combining dominant education with recessive education and combining school education with ego education. the nine measures are focusing on the practical needs of the post-90 s college students, innovating the contents of the mainstream ideology education of colleges and universities, improving the ways and means of mainstream ideology education of colleges and universities, promoting the combination of psychological education and the mainstream ideology education of colleges and universities, strengthening the team construction for ideological and political education in colleges and universities, optimizing the campus culture environment, strengthening the social practice, paying attention to social and family education, self-education and playing the positive affect of the peer group.
