In order to study the changes of biochemical characteristics, body functions and the effects of different traning loads and periods on swimmers in the period of pre-competition training, this thesis monitors and analyses certain biochemical indicators of Henan swimming athletes with different traning loads in the period of pre-competition training. These swimming athletes I chose as study objects are excellent swimmers from Henan provincal swimming team, including 8 men swimmers and 7 woman swimmers, who have achieved remarkmable results in the national swimming championships. In the course of 7-weeks’ pre-competition training, the biochemical indicators are measured in Monday morning after six days’ traing(Monday to Saturday) and one day’s breaking in Sunday. After the analysis and comparation of the measured data, the facts can be summarizd in the following:1、 Hb of these excellent swimmers show no significant changes at the initial training stage but a dramatic decline at the intermediate stage. While at the later stage, these levels gain a gradual recovery and hit a record high. 2、There appears a high amplitude of CK variation, with a noticeable rise at the intermediate stage which shows sharp comparation than before, and a fall to a low level in the end. 3、The BU levels of both male and female athletes change slightly within the normal range and remain low through the adjustment period in the pre-competition training. 4、Both of serum testosterone(T) and cortisol(C) levels are increasing in the beginning of the training. T/C ratio experiences a remarkable drop at the initial training stage, and then rebounds to the pre-competition level. 5、After the pre-competition training, the whole lactic acid-speed curve shows a rightward movement. Conclusion:The changes of oxygen transfer ability, CK level, BU level, endocrine indicators and immune related indicators demonstrate the training effects and the body’s response to the training. Weight training not only has a stimulating effect on the body, but also serves the purpose of adaptation and recovery. The rightward movement of lactic acid-speed curve shows that pre-competition increased the lactate turn point, which means that the aerobic metabolism ability and non-oxygen metabolism ability have been enhanced to different degree. The overall analysis of different indicators of these swimmers shows that at the last stage of training, there is significant recovery and improvement in aerobic metabolism ability, oxygen carrying capacity, nutritional status and endocrine function of these great swimmers. This is great significance for swimmers to improve physical capacities and achieve excellent performance.
