In order to improve the overall level of tennis referee team in Hubei Province, meet the demands of tennis tournament in Hubei Province for referees, propel development and popularization of tennis in Hubei Province, promote healthy and rapid development of tennis referee team in Hubei Province and build a tennis referee team of "integrity, exquisite business, excellent morality, tough fight", the author investigates and researches the current situation of tennis referee team in Hubei Province by means of documentation method, expert interview method, questionnaire method, logical analysis and other methods of scientific research, finds out the problems existing in the tennis referee team in Hubei Province and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for relevant problems to provide certain basis for training and management research of tennis referees in Hubei Province. The conclusions are as follows:1.The males are more than females in the tennis referees in Hubei Province, and the gender ratio is unbalanced. The ages are mainly 20-45 years old, which are young and middle ages. The education backgrounds are high, and undergraduate is primary.2.Currently, there is no professional tennis referee in Hubei Province, while they are all amateur tennis referees, in which PE teachers and students occupy a large proportion. Their levels are mainly country-level 1, and the referees of national level and international level are scarce.3.The opportunities for the tennis referees in Hubei Province to referee international level tennis tournament are few, and they are seriously short of experiences of refereeing international level tennis tournament. Low level of English becomes the bottleneck for development of tennis referees in Hubei Province. The computer skills can basically meet the needs of tennis tournament, but the arrangement ability of tennis tournament is lacked.4.The restrictions of training channels for tennis referees in Hubei Province mainly include:training before tournament, guidance after tournament and centralized training before test. The training contents are not comprehensive, and the trainings for professional ethics and quality, psychological quality, English competence, computer level and arrangement work of tennis tournament of tennis referees are lacked. The assessment strength is insufficient, and it cannot be implemented in strict accordance with the assessment method.5.The registration method of tennis referees in Hubei Province is single. Mainly, the principals informs the referees or the referees inform each other, then the tennis referees go to the sports administration departments at various levels for registration. The selection method is unreasonable, which is online application and the coverage of which is narrow. Strength of reward and punishment is not large, which are implemented mainly by oral commendation, financial reward and warning.
