As the structure of single parent family is not complete,so as to the love they get in single parent family. As a result, single parent family is much easy to show up conflicts and misunderstands. The author through carries on the questionnaire survey to the Hechi city Z community’s minor family, discovered in the Z community exists the difficult position minor, the major part comes from the single-parent family, its main question concentrates in the communication is not good, this research by social work of a--group work three big methods took writing the breakthrough point, utilizes its value idea and the method of work, through does the group work to the single-parent family, finally realizes the parent-child the benign communication.The author makes this paper into five parts. The first part introduces the background information and meaning of this study, and presents some related studies at home and abroad. The second part introduces the definitions, basic theories and study methods involved in this study. The third part introduces the situation of social protection of minors. Through the form of questionnaire and interview, we learn that in the Z community of He Chi, the minors who are in trouble are mostly from single family, for which single-parent families’own deficiency and parents’inappropriate attention must be responsible. Therefore, the fourth part will discuss whether group work in single-parent families’ minors’ protection will work or not. What’s more important is to investigate the team work’s service process of single parent families in Z community, in which the author apply the perspective of family communication theory, advantage theory of work characteristic of the group, and group dynamics theory, combining theory with practice, aiming at single parent families to carry out the "leaf" distance communication group. The author hopes that these group activities will assist the single-parent family members to have a correct cognition to each other, learn the transpositonal consideration and learn effective communication, build a bridge of communication with the outside world, which lets them go out of their homes and makes them have more chance to contact with the outside world; assist the single-parent family members to understand the function of family, find out the potential power and family members their own abilities, and integrate the owned, potential and external resource to encourage the family members to solve the difficulties which they are facing with the resource they have; assist the parents of single parent family to pay attention to the growth of minors and learn how to educate the minors, eliminate and prevent the happening of the adverse events of minors, and protect the minors’legitimate interest to make them healthily grow. In fifth part, the author rethinks and summarizes the group work’s working processes, situations and results.To a certain degree, this research reflects the superiority of social work, comparing to other working concepts and practical methods, which can be summarized as the superiority of professional value, integration of information collection and evaluation. Contemporarily, the social work solves the problem of poor communication between the single parent family members, and broadens the social support networks of single parent families, which plays an important role in win-win relationship.
