Issues about the single-parent children mainly from the lack of powers and powerlessness. Empowerment theory is a new concept of the work and working methods. Empowerment theory from the perspective of social work to solve a series of problems. Goal is to increase personal power, interpersonal power or political power. In order to individuals, families or communities can take action to improve their situation. The occurrence of group work with the empowerment perspective by a variety of interventional methods such as establishing trust, raising awareness and building support networks, teaching skills and social advocacy and so on. This paper analyzes the growing problems and the plight of single-parent children, and Combines the practice of the Rainbow group social work service activities in the Warm Plan, and assess their effects. In practice, social workers and clients participate effectively and establish the environment that consistent with human; Social workers guide clients to maximize participation in the planning and control of their emotions and life. So as to create an opportunity to develop themselves in the entire life cycle. Finally, this paper explores the mode of empowering service about single-parent children, and combines with the external drive mode and the individual active mode, and summarizes applications of group work’s experience skills in communication and interaction, discussion, treatment-related, and motivates the individual potential, and reduces or eliminates the sense of the powerless, and promotes single-parent children’s self-realization and healthy growth and development.
