In daily life, people can demonstrate self-control ability and overcome the specific impulse. This is a reasonable control is important to achieve the ability to delay gratification on human social life, impulse, so that people can engage in goal directed behavior and achieve long-term. Regulation ability may directly decide the race at the critical moment of the outcome of the self in this field of sports athletes, because studies have shown that athletic competition process in order to overcome negative emotions or focus requires a lot of energy, that they can’t focus game. This paper selects some elite athletes in Colleges and universities as the research object, using their experience for material, analyze their causes and self loss of self control in the game, the process and results of.The main content of research: through the analysis of the questionnaire and interview for athletes that self-control ability mainly includes: emotional control, motor control, will control, control of concentration, anxiety control; Cause loss of self in the process of the actual game behavior include: smooth disappear, mental fatigue, rhythm and destructive factors; In the process of sports game, prevent loss of self to take actions to avoid mainly from the following aspects: emotion, thought, motivation, intention, cognition, etc., and through the stroop experiment under the different control index significantly better than the quality of the athletes stroop task to without control group; And loss compensation behavior: positive emotions, self-approval effect, to set up the example model, etc. According to the result of the questionnaire survey analysis of empirical research design experiment, through the empirical study shows that self control can improve the performance and loss of self, but within a certain range for the energy compensation.Through research and empirical research conclusions include: firstly, self control ability, women’s emotional control is relatively better than male; Control motive, the motives of men than women, especially achievement motivation; Male willpower relatively more tough, especially in the face of setbacks and challenges in the process of; Men and women athletes are more vulnerable to the interference of outside factors, focus of control is not ideal; Anxiety level men than women. Second: the loss of self behavior, fluid behaviour disappear on male athletes think that their disappearance of flow behavior is mainly manifested in poor control, female athletes performance in power order disorder; Mental fatigue, the obvious differences of mental representation is that glassy-eyed easily distracted and stage fright, relatively prominent women in the psychological loss. Rhythm of destruction, male athletes tend to attribute the rhythm of destruction for training temporary interruption and injury to damage the system training, female athletes tend to be attributed to the workout anomalies and injury. Third, loss of self in the behavior of the avoidance respectively on mood, thinking, motivation, intention, cognition, etc., and through the stroop experiment verify the athletes stroop task quality under different control targets to be significantly higher than control group. Finally, the compensation behavior, positive emotions so little difference between men and women and negative emotional catharsis is try our best to; Men and women are self-affirmation, only in a different way, male main positive and women tend to rely on their own team; Male and female athletes will build their own model, this gap is not big.Through the above analysis this paper puts forward several Suggestions: 1, strengthen emotional control in the process of athletes; 2, strengthen athletes attention control; 3, reasonable debugging the athletes’ state of mind; 4, control the athletes’ anxiety level; 5, to help athletes to form correct cognitive style.
