The comparative teaching method is designed to compare the nature and feature of two different concepts, phenomena and theories to draw the right conclusion to improve the cognitive level of educatee. It has become a teaching method for educators to apply the comparative teaching method to cultural life teaching activities in senior high school on account of large amounts of comparable content resources in Cultural Life. Meanwhile, the educators have imposed the influence on educatee and make them adopt the method, thus the educatee can clear the inkling, distinguish the wrong thinking and correctly treat the culture at all times and in all over the world. The appeal is unable to break through for educator in teaching the Cultural Life and the fact of students disagree with some viewpoint in Cultural Life and other factors have determined the necessity in applying the comparative teaching method into Cultural Life in senior high school. The possibility of combination the Cultural Life and the comparative teaching method is based on abundant course contents offering comparative space, the rich category in the comparative teaching method offering the comparative approach and the educational concept of seeking common points while reserving difference and swallowing anything and everything offering the comparative mental preparation.There are two principal contradictions in Cultural Life, one of which is that Cultural Life has so many confusing concepts, making it difficult to teach and learn for educators and educatee, the other one is that Cultural Life is an ideology and politics course and some of the viewpoints and values is beyond the pales of the students. The comparative teaching method has complicated classification.
