The counselor’s leadership level is directly related to the students’ healthy growth and all-round development. In the new era, China’s reform and socialist modernization construction Developing rapidly, with the deepening reform of higher education, the popularization of higher education has entered a stage of development in our country. This is a new challenge on college students’ ideological education and management, and at the same time put forward the strong appeal in the college counselor’s leadership. However, the cultivation of the leadership of instructors in our country is still in its infancy, the lack of certain theory and practice research, college counselors leadership ought to be urgent deviation between reality and the requirement to strengthen the cultivation of the university counselors leadership. Visible, with studies on the cultivation of the university counselors leadership is vast space, research value is great.This paper studies the research with the method of theory research and practice, through the way of questionnaire survey to part of Hebei province college counselors and college students(including the graduate) related to leadership level, this paper will be based on the questionnaire survey data, and combining the research results about the counselor leadership at home and abroad, analyses the reason for the lack of leadership of university counselors, and puts forward corresponding solutions and countermeasures. First of all, defining the leadership of counselors and put forward the theoretical basis of research, based on this, put forward the concept of the counselor leadership and the constituent elements of leadership. Second, survey the leadership status of university counselors in Hebei province by questionnaire. Analysis and discuss the questions by means of questionnaire survey from the background, professional ideal, knowledge reserve and leadership skills, reduction of college counselors leadership real status and put forward the present problems in the leadership of university counselors. Analyses the problem of the counselor leadership again and the reason for the lack of leadership. Finally put forward. the specific training methods and countermeasures of the counselor leadership from the external way and self education.The study of the leadership of counselors in Hebei province opens a new field, enrich the academia in the leadership of counselor on the issue of research. The results of the present situation of the leadership of counselors in Hebei province show that:The cultivation of the leadership of university counselors is a system engineering, need to struggle for a long time rely on society, colleges and the counselor’s own continuous efforts.
