| Over recent years, the concept of humanistic care in the field of ideological and political education is winning more and more attention, which has been proved by practices to be an inevitable requirement of social and historical development and a necessary demand for adapting the ideological and political education into the current situation with a hope to improve its effectiveness and seek for new breakthroughs. Educators in higher ideological and political education plays a key role in the ideological and political education activities, and their position and function are very important. The emergence of humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators is a brand-new field derived from the integration of higher ideological and political education and humanistic care. It is of great theoretical and practical significances to innovate and develop ideological and political education theory research system and promote the development of higher ideological and political educators, college students and ideological and political education activities.This paper consists of six parts. Based on the analysis and study of theoretical and practical meanings of humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators, the first part further reviewed previous studies domestically and internationally in this regard and proposed the innovative points of the paper.The second part outlined relevant concepts of humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators, starting from the two basic concepts of “higher ideological and political educators†and “humanistic care†and gradually introducing the theme of the paper: “the humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educatorsâ€.The third part discussed the humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators from three aspects including the manifestations, features and practical meanings and further answered the question about “what†are the humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators, from the abovementioned three perspectives.The fourth part analyzed the existing problems in the humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators and possible reasons. It pointed out a prominent problem that is a lack of humanistic care qualities among part of higher ideological and political educators,and including two specific performance: weak concept of humanistic care and insufficient humanistic care behavior.The reasons may lie in the profound influence of unhealthy traditional education thought and education pattern and the lack of sufficient attention by universities and colleges in terms of humanistic care qualities among higher ideological and political educators.The stance of the whole paper was highlighted in part five and part six. Based on the previous analysis of the significance and existing problems in the humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators, the last two parts proposed and illustrated concrete methods to improve the humanistic care qualities of higher ideological and political educators by integrating the internal force of “self-improvementâ€, which includes “strengthening the role awareness in humanistic careâ€, “enhancing self-access learning†and “in-depth practice and reflection summaryâ€, with the “joint external forces†of “high-level concerns from national educational departments and implementation of national policies†and “the comprehensively increased efforts made by the universities and collegesâ€. |
