Language proficiency is one of the important indicators of the students’ level of Chinese. The Chinese courses in high school further improve students’ language proficiency, thus laying the foundation for lifelong learning and development. As an important part of education assessment system, examinations can not only detect the students’ Chinese proficiency levels, but also can promote the teaching art, perfect teaching courses as well as improve teaching efficiency, which can thereby drive forward teaching. Under the guidance of the theory of pragmatics, this paper summarizes the characteristics of the language application in the recent 11 years in Jiangsu College Entrance Examination, and combined with the present situation in language teaching, the paper aims to explore the answer strategies of the language application.In general, language applications are usually arranged in the first part in College Entrance Examination, which includes memorizing common pronunciation and spelling of Chinese characters, the proper use of the rhetoric, conciseness of the language, coherence, decency, accuracy, clearness, vividness and etc. The Introduction part summarizes the characteristics of the language application in the College Entrance Examination in the recent 11 years and the learning conditions of the students as well. The second chapter makes use of some relevant perspectives of pragmatics as theoretical guidance. The third chapter focuses on the form of the language application in the recent College Entrance Examination in recent 11 years. The fourth chapter provides answer strategies as to specific questions. The fifth chapter does research on how to improve the behavior of teachers in order to improve teaching effectiveness. This study is committed to finding systematic, professional and comprehensive strategies to answer questions in the language application in Jiangsu College Entrance Examination.
