In response to the great challenge of pollution and ecological damage to human beings, green consumption emerges as the times require. Green consumption is a new consumption patterns, the new consumption concept. It asked people for consumption according to their actual needs, and oppose extravagance and waste, and focus on the protection of the environment and resource recycling, is to establish a suitable for human survival environment.Because the university is a collection of various elite, consumption is also an indispensable part of consumption also college students, and college students’consumption accounts for a large part in the whole consumption proportion, so we caught this group of college students through the cultivation of college students the concept of green consumption to drive the entire society green consumption, It can protect human survival environment and realize the sustainable development. This paper mainly uses the literature research method, case analysis method, questionnaire investigation method to carry on the elaboration to the undergraduate green consumption concept, through the analysis of the contemporary college students’green consumption present situation, understanding the existing process problems in the process of contemporary college students’green consumption, which leads to establish a green consumption concept and importance of practicing green consumption, so as to explore the ways to cultivate the college students to set up the green consumption concept, and help them to establish a scientific and reasonable consumption concept, to achieve sustainable development and the construction of the beauty of china. In this paper, the first part is an introduction, It describes the purpose and significance of green consumption concept of college students, the status quo at home and abroad and the research of the emphasis and difficulties and innovation etc. The second part is an overview of the concept of green consumption; it is mainly expounded from the green consumption of domestic and foreign origin, students green consumption concept, characteristics and main content. The third part is analysis of the present situation and influenced factors of college student’s consumption. Through the analysis of some unreasonable and unhealthy consumption of college students exist in the process of consumption, we should research the factors that influence the emergence of this situation.
