Ideological and moral education is a moral subject,the new curriculum standards clearly stipulates the open of the ideological and moral course is for the purpose of promoting students’ ideological and moral development. However, because of the influence of the traditional examination oriented education and other various reasons teachers focus on imparting knowledge of the theory too much but neglecting moral cultivation and practice ability in the actual process of teaching,lead young people to the knowing-doing gap and moral concern, cannot adapt to social development very well, the Ideological and moral education is less effective, therefore, the practical teaching is very necessary. Ideological and moral practical teaching bases on students’ life, fully respect the position of subjectivity of students, considering the characteristics of ideological and moral curriculum and junior high school students’ physical and mental characteristics to adapt to the times and social demand and cultivate qualified talents for the society.This thesis starting with the study on the relevant theoretical concepts, analysis the current situation of practical teaching on ideological and moral course in junior middle school, focus on analysis the existing problems of current practical teaching and find the causes. Put forward the specific measures of improvement according to the causes of the problem then provide relevant support for the practical teaching on junior middle school of ideological and moral course.The main methods the author used in this research are: First, the document analysis method. To understand the development of the practical teaching of ideological and moral lessons at home and abroad by reading relevant books, gathering and consulting periodicals and magazines. Based on summarizing and analyzing the experience of predecessors, analyzing the problems in practical teaching process to find the causes of the problem and put forward the improvement measures. Second, survey method. Investigate part of ideological and moral lessons teachers and some students in junior middle school and find out the present situation of the practical teaching in junior middle school, especially master the factors of influencing teachers’ practical teaching so that have important significance on proposing targeted measures. Third, action study. Study on teachers’ teaching and students’ learning behavior.This thesis consists of the following three parts:The first part discusses the related concepts and the implementation of the practical teaching significance. Define the concept of practice, practical teaching and the junior middle school ideological and moral education practical teaching and make clear that practicality is the basic characteristics of moral curriculum. Practical teaching is helpful to improve the interest of students to participate in classroom, the ability to adapt to the society, enable students to combine study and life and develop sound ideology, moral character,habits of conduct.The second part analysis the problems and causes of the practical teaching at ideological and moral lesson at present junior middle school. The problem is: the practical teaching in the classroom is in small frequency, form is single and content is simple, the evaluation system and the system is not perfect, a mere formality lead to the implementation effect is not ideal. The reason of the problems: teachers’ old-fashioned notion on teaching, lack the ability of practical teaching, practical teaching system and the system construction is not perfect and teacher cannot control the process of practical teaching normatively.The third part discusses the countermeasures for improving practical teaching on ideological and moral lesson in junior middle school. The implementation of the principles is: hierarchy, subjectivity, expansibility, pertinence and effectiveness. The countermeasures for improvement: teachers update their teaching concepts, improve practical teaching ability mainly includes mastering a variety of teaching methods to carry out the practical teaching activity and improve their ability to develop practical teaching resources, perfect the system construction and the system guarantee of practical teaching and standardizing process of implementation of the practical teaching.
