Teaching mode is the stable teaching framework and procedure established relatively in the guidance of a certain teaching thought and theory. As a framework, it highlights the overall teaching activities as well as the internal relationship and function among all the essential factors in macroscopic aspects. As a procedure, It highlights the ordering and operability. Therefore, teaching mode plays a very important part in the teaching. Our education innovation has been in progress all through with the distribution of new lesson standard, and the quality education is once again pushed in the teeth of the storm with the general development of the new lesson innovation. How to change the " only score theory " of traditional teaching and improve students’comprehensive quality, innovation need come down to class ultimately.As the core of the class teaching mode has become the key point of education innovation. Compared to other courses, the innovation of history class is imminent. History is always in an embarrassing position in middle school teaching. In students and parents minds, history is not the major course, so they put less energy, even teachers have the same feelings. In the next place, students do not like history because of the shortages of traditional teaching mode. They are not interested in history which cause difficulties of history teaching. So how to create new history teaching mode about "arousing the students’interest in learning", "spreading historical knowledge", "improve students comprehensive quality and ability "change current situation urgently, is the question that every history teacher should face and think about.Teaching mode has a long innovation history, there were a lot of teaching innovation in our country’s history, which in hopes of improving students study efficiency, however, under the enormous pressure of population and examination-oriented education system, the effect is weak. Nowadays, facing the urgent history innovation, all over the country has started "teaching mode innovation boom", teaching mode innovation suddenly shows a " a hundred flowers blossom, a hundred schools of thought contend" picture. To be sure, this has played a certain role in promoting history teaching innovation. There are a few points that should be paid more attention to in choosing teaching mode. First of all, teaching mode must has powerful support of theory, it can neither be created out of nothing, nor be made up by chance, this kind of teaching mode cannot be used for teaching practice with theory meanings. Secondly, teaching mode is not s simple theory transfer, it must be combined with class teaching including students analysis as well as learning contents analysis, then compromise compatible theory and take shape of teaching mode that is suitable for students actual development. After that, teaching mode must be combined with theory and practice. Without theory, teaching mode has no reference value. Lastly, teaching idea must has education experimentation research, take data as basis, estimate the truth and efficiency, and then after theory study repeatedly, it becomes a worth studied new teaching mode.facing current teaching mode innovation, the author choose " the 531 growth class " as research target among several popular teaching mode all over the country. The author thinks it matches the new history teaching in middle school in the following 3 reasons:firstly, " the 531 growth class " takes students as principal part, encourage student participate in class, and change the history teaching "what I say counts" problem. Secondly, it can improve students learning interests. Thirdly, it helps develop conception of history, raise sensibility attitude as well as sense of worth, and promote the establishment of three-dimensional learning level." the 531 growth class " has been carried out for 3 years in the 14th Peilin middle school. Because there is no theory formation, the author studies " the 531 growth class " teaching mode from theory and practice two aspects. Hope that through this study, we can provide reference for history teaching under the new curriculum.
