With the popularity and practice of the course reformation, the traditional teaching structure system has been broken. In order to achieve the goal of developing the students' sound personality required by the history course, I probe and try the teaching pattern "self-study—cooperative inquiry" and have achieved great success. The basic thinking of the pattern is to enable students to master the knowledge of history by means of studying actively, and on that basis, develop students' ability of analyzing problems, the quality of creative thinking and acquire some inspiration from history by inter-action between students and students or students and teachers. The strategies to put the pattern into effect are as follows: Students' self-study gives priority to teachers' teaching; Guide students by raising questions; Thinking by oneself is combined with cooperative inquiry; Get the feedback of the students' studies in time. The teaching procedures of the pattern include the stages such as led-in, self-study, cooperation inquiry, teachers' explaining and consolidation exercises.
