Abstract/Summary:
The higher education of China is carrying the important task of the resuscitation of Chinese people in 21 st century and is playing an indispensable role in fostering creative and competitive reserve talents for the modernization construction of China. Under the guidance of the “new normal” idea developed by the new government, the Chinese higher education should also try the best to understand, adapt to and even lead the “new normal” idea in higher education area. Although the “new normal” idea is meant to be the main theme in the temporary and future economic and social development areas, meanwhile it is also the main theme for the development of higher education. Since the Chinese economic reform, the higher education in China has experienced the fastest development period of time that is from few to many, small to big and central to local, achieving a real leap-type development. According to the official data of the higher education in China, there have been 2529 regular institutions of higher education and a total 35.59 million educated student until the end of 2014. The ability of the higher education to provide service and safeguard for the social and economic development has been strengthened significantly. However, we should see clearly that the higher education in our country is large in scale but not strong in quality. In other words, China is a big country but not a strong country in education. As a result, the higher education shall emphasize more on the outcome-the overall quality of educated students need to be increased urgently. Physical education as an interdisciplinary subject is always in company with students’ brain and body movement. It can develop a good virtual behavior and habit for students, as well as great perseverance and good collaborating and competition spirits. The higher education should not only undertake patriotism education, but should also pay attention to the influence that physical education plays on students’ characteristics. In the process of physical education in higher education, PE(physical education) teachers, as the main participants and leaders, plays an indispensable role in the improvement of institution’s education level and in the development of student’s mind and body. Therefore, in order to increase the influence of PE teacher’s non-power influence in the education and students. The author used empirical method to conduct empirical study on the PE teachers in Henan province as well as discussing the existence question and improvement methods of their non-power influence by referring to the research result and understanding the current research status in home and abroad. The author hopes to provide realistic and theoretical support for the development of non-power influence utilization of PE teachers in Henan province, the enhancement of the overall quality of education and student quality as well as providing the significance in theoretical aspect. By using the questionnaire survey method, this paper investigated the recognition level of PE teachers’ non-power influence by both PE teachers and students in the physical education in Henan province higher education. The paper also studies the controlling factors by comparing the expectation difference of PE teacher’s non-power influence by PE teachers and students in reality. The non-power influence of higher education physical teachers is not well developed, especially in the difference of current status of caring students, self-habits and major theoretical development from students’ ideal expectation. In the meantime, the government, the society and institutions should play more attention in this area.
