In 2013, the family parent-child reality shows represented by “Where Are We Going, Dad?” of HNTV caused high public attention and raised the rating torrent. Besides the star effect of the program, the program itself also caused parents’ consideration of Chinese parent-child relationship, family aesthetic education and other issues.In recent years, the parentage and the interaction between the parents and children have become a research hotspot in the field of family aesthetic education. The family aesthetic education is one of the pathways of aesthetic education. At present, with the development of the social activities, the aesthetic education has become more and more diversify, which contains the school aesthetic education, the class aesthetic education, the teacher aesthetic education, the social aesthetic education, the natural aesthetic education, the artistic aesthetic education and the family aesthetic education. All of the above are the important pathways of aesthetic education, especially the family aesthetic education, which play the important role in the social development.The family aesthetic education has the prominent significance not only in the actual operation aspect but also in the theoretical research aspect. Because family is the beginning of the aesthetic education and is also the primary area which children receive the family aesthetic education. Nowadays, people can get the daily necessaries keeping indoors, because of the fast development of the internet. At the same time, the nominalization and the emergence of new media promote the spread of film and TV into a new age of compound media. So, the traditional spreading way has been suffered huge attack and tries to find the new way to expand more and more wide, varied and convenient entertainment space for the people. The spread of film and TV has infiltrated into the every field of social life through the video. The contents of the video are very various, which contains amusement and recreation, basic necessities of life and shopping, etc. So, it has important significance how to enhance the aesthetic education through the internet video games and make people, especially the youth to receive the aesthetic education naturally. One of the roles of the TV program is to make people receive aesthetic education, improve the esthetic ability, purify the sentiment and sublimate the horizon unconsciously. As far as I am concerned, the family parent-child reality TV show is a good attempt which is benefit for the spread of family aesthetic education through the internet video.So, the research on the family parent-child reality TV show has the positive significance in the family aesthetic education. Based on the family parent-child reality shows themselves, this paper attempts to comb the origin and development history of the reality shows, discuss family aesthetic education whose main content is family parent-child interaction and propose consideration and suggestion for the family parent-child reality shows in the future, strive to fill up the blank on research on family parent-child reality shows. Specifically, this paper discusses it in four parts.In the first part, origin and development history in China of the reality shows are overviewed. The reality show arose from the European and American countries and was introduced to China after the reform and opening-up policy was implemented. In the localization process, the reality shows win the new development opportunities.In the second part, family aesthetic education whose basic form is parent-child interaction is discussed. Influence of the traditional family culture on family aesthetic education and the traditional cultural significance as well as the realistic implication of the parent-child relationship are explained. Unconscious influence of the family environment on children’s aesthetic education is pointed out family life can cultivate children’s aesthetic sensibility, aesthetic understanding and aesthetic imagination.In the third part, implementation principles and effects of family aesthetic education are discussed. That implementation of family aesthetic education should follow the flexibility, edutainment and common participation principles is illustrated with the family parent-child reality shows as the living examples. Family aesthetic education is stressed to be able to promote children to cultivate their taste and surpass the individual, be able to develop children’s intelligence and cultivate imagery thinking, and be able to promote communication among the family members and promote family relationship.In the fourth part, consideration and suggestion for family aesthetic education caused by the parent-child interaction programs are stated. That family aesthetic education should strengthen parent-child communication and interaction, promote parents’ quality, change the educational concept and build the new family relationship is stated. That the future development of the family parent-child reality shows should cherish children’s innocence, form the long-acting development mechanism of the programs in accordance with the innovation thoughts to avoid aesthetic fatigue of the audiences is pointed out.
